Managing Attorney Andrea Long was selected by Missouri Lawyer’s Weekly as one of the Up and Coming Lawyers 2014. The Missouri Lawyers Weekly selects young attorneys from around the state who have made their marks both in the profession and in their communities.
Andrea is a member of The Young Lawyers Section and a former member of The Missouri Bar’s Leadership Academy. She is active in the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (“SMBA”), and is a prior recipient of their Ashcroft Scholarship. She is a member of the Christian County Bar Association (“CCBA”), currently serving as Vice-President. Andrea volunteers in her community, as exemplified by her election to the Nixa City Council, and service on her Neighborhood Association’s Board. She also participates in the Springfield Chamber’s “Network for Young Professionals”. Andrea was named to the “Class of 2013 20 under 30” by 417 Magazine, recognizing the best and brightest young professionals. She also volunteered at the 2014 Rock’n Ribs BBQ Festival, benefitting children’s charities.
Andrea writes an SMBA Newsletter monthly technology column and often provides presentations to various groups on the use of technology in the practice of law. She frequently serves as a Missouri Bar CLE Moderator, and continues to assist colleagues in learning how to use remote access, apps, and legal technology. Andrea has presented to pre-law students at Missouri State University about public service legal careers. She has previously volunteered and assisted tornado victims and flood victims, alongside the Missouri Bar.
